The slopes of Cascade Mountain provided the stage to wrap up Shorewood MTB's second season of racing. A worthy course to crown State Champions - sending the racers weaving through the trees on the dry and dusty track as it snakes it's way up, down and across the face of the ski hill. The Hounds had the season finish set squarely in their sights. Every Shorewood rider that started the day, pushed themselves through the League's toughest circuit and crossed the finish line with an exclamation point.
The season Overall Awards were presented and Carter, Ava, Ethan and David all took home medals for their podium performances through the course of the whole year. The Team also finished in an incredibly strong 3rd place for the year and brought home another trophy for the display case. Special recognition is due to our departing seniors: Ava, Carter, Ethan and Ryan have all led the team by example since the early days of the team's creation. The solid foundation that they have helped build for the Shorewood MTB community will be felt for years to come. Good luck to all of them as they venture further down the trail!
