Race Report #4: The Nordic Navigator

The trail at Nordic Mountain has quickly gained a reputation as the most technically imposing course on the Wisconsin race circuit, and the Hounds were ready to give it their best shot. For the Shorewood MTB team, the level of technical challenge in a course frequently translates directly to the amount of fun we have riding it. Tight corners, rocks and roots pepper the singletrack as it traverses the ski hill and surrounding forest.

 

Ava and Carter both had very solid races and made their usual appearance on the podium while the whole team consistently improved and finished in fourth overall, narrowly missing another team trophy. Special congratulations to Emiel who rode strong and chalked up his first finish for the year! The team is fired up and ready to finish the season strong on the slopes of Cascade Mountain.
