Cross country mountain biking is a healthy, low-impact, outdoor lifestyle to enjoy at any age. Certified and trained coaches and high-school athletes from the Shorewood Mountain Bike Team (MTB) will teach you the skills for safe and fun mountain biking. Open to beginners and those with some experience. 3 half-days of fundamental instruction, riding and games culminating in a 4th day field trip to ride the singletrack trails at Kegel-Alpha in Franklin.
Open to kids that can currently ride a bike and are interested in learning to mountain bike. Properly-fitting helmets are required. Loaner bikes will be made available for those in need. Riders will be placed in groups based on age and experience. All class participants will get a free t-shirt.
Mountain biking is a school sport in Wisconsin for grades 6-12, with a season running from July through October…join us this summer and give it a spin!
MTB Essentials Coed and Girls-only camps are run concurrently, and based on participation, may be combined for some activities.
